Hello World! today is another page in history. I am still in cit 49900, and I think it is great it has helped me connect with people from the UK, especially answer some really great questions about some topics that i needed to learn more about. like VMware, and HP servers. those are just two small ways Twitter and TweekDeck have affected my life in the short run.
* what you learned in class
today we went over more Telecommunications i believe that today was the third installment of the lecture. we focused mainly on how there are two carriers, cable co and Telco.
* your social media experiences
I have engaged in conversation with people in other countries about IT related things and learned a little about the money exchange rate in the UK.
* your experiences with IT infrastructure products & services
I worked with VMware allot this week, also I worked on cleaning up my corner XD ill have to post a picture of my LAB it is kind of overkill but I love to be over the top Learning is the best way to make the world go around! I researched the IPhone because I want a phone that can browse the internet better then my Voyager. they are so expensive, plus I would have to switch carriers and I am mid contract... darn contracts... lol
* your progress on your course project
in reply to Dr Thomas Ho's statement "With respect to IT infrastructure, please concern yourself primarily with carriers, regulators, and other "players" IF you do discuss products, please do so in terms of HOW they interact with infrastructure services!" I think I will start to look into how the USA differs from EU nations with respect to how the infrastructure is laid out by discussing carriers and how the regulators affected the players. then why some had/have a much better competitive edge compared to other telecom providers.

Weekly Blog 1-24-10
Currently I am enrolled in cit 49900 and it has opened my eyes to the world of social media. and it is great! I didn't know that twitter could be used as productively as it has been. below are a list of some things I will touch on this week and most weeks.
* what you learned in class
I got a crash course on twitter, disqus, diigo, and the history of telecom. how to brand yourself with, this is an interesting topic because well it is something I didn't really ever think of until this class.
* your social media experiences
I have installed TweetDeck and also Seesmic Look. currently I am leaning towards TweetDeck because I like how it's layout is much cleaner then Seesmic Look. but both have its benefits. I will still use both for a while and see which i like better.
* your experiences with IT infrastructure products & services
this week i set up a Mac G4 with Tiger I believe. also I got my DL140G2 up and running for my VMware server XD i will probably install ESX on the box. I am currently running it through diagnostics to make sure the hardware is all 100% functional. ill know more once it is done.
* your progress on your course project
Currently i have only a few lines and a few websites gathered about what i am going to try to propose. I am still a little bit unclear as to exactly what I need to accomplish but it will work itself out.
